Hi Stan. Happy new year to all of yours from all of mine.
Been so busy with work, the family and our new puppy labrador, that I forgot your birthday in November, so a belated happy birthday.
Now my usual rant. Are we getting another episode of Russ's antics this year? Maybe if publishing is difficult, we could "subscribe" directly to you?
Russ has just landed in the Bahamas, by the way.
Well, as always, I hope you are well and I will keep in touch throughout the year.
All the very best,
Tony

Hello Stanley, I really enjoyed reading about your time spent with actor Morton Lowry when making the film 'Sleepwalkers', my partner is his son (born 1958) and there is really not much to be found out about poor old Morton as candid as that! It would be lovely to hear more about 'Morty' and also to tell you what befell him in latter life.
Our very best wishes to you x

Hi Stan.
My Birthday today so I thought I'd treat myself and take time out to update the guestbook. Long time (toooo long) since I last updated iy. I've been through the series again and have just started The Debt Collector for the ?? time. As you know, my all time favourite. It's actually a new copy that I had to buy, as my other is in bits. It took me a while to finish the series this time as I bought a Kindle and have been reading loads of other books. But now I'm into my favourite run (Debt Collector, the 2 Couriers and Takes Off) I will be hard at work for the next few weeks rattling through them. I do wish it was possible to get them in ebook format!
Hope you and Mrs Morgan are well. Kindest regards
Tony

Hi Stanley,
I've recently achieved a long held ambition and obtained an affordable copy of "Among the Stars" to complete my collection. What a great read as always. The tinge of sadness at reaching the end of Russ original adventures is of course now relieved by having "Goes Cuckoo" before having to return him to Liverpool and sewing machines again.
In the meantime I've also picked up a copy of "The Fly Boys", so I feel another collecting challenge coming on!
Thank you once again for all the reading pleasure you have given me over the years.
Best wishes
Martin

Hi Stan
Finished reading Tobin Goes Cuckoo for the second time and just wanted to thank you for the enjoyment you have given me over the years. I loved revisiting with Russ and enjoyed every minute of it.
I have two questions firstly is Russ' name pronounced Toe Bin or Tob Bin. Secondly are you writing of have you written any more Tobin books.
I know publishing is a pain but it works well as a ebook.
Thank you again

Russ's surname is pronounced Toe Bin.
No, I haven't written anything since Cuckoo, though I'm constantly thinking up plot lines and dialogue.
Many thanks for your kind words. Always great to hear from you.

Hi Stan,
Well, it's Christmas day! Well it is in Canada anyway. Yep our Man has just been woken by Buzz and is off skating at Greg Douglas's.
Anyway, I'd like to say (and maybe be the first to say) A Very Merry Christmas to you and your family, and a Happy New Year.
Any news on the book or film yet?
Are we going to receive a jovial Christmas message like last year. Maybe you could send one to my son,12. He was knocked down by a car 4 weeks ago and totally fractured his shoulder, though, thankfully there was no other damage, and he is really looking forward to Christmas, like all of us. He was operated on and has a titanium plate in his arm, which should be removed in a couple of months. It just means his football seasons over. Shame, as they had a 100% record.
Anyway, kindest regards as always,
Tony

Hi Stanley,
I felt I must drop you a line to say how much pleasure your novels (in particular Russ Tobin stories)gave my father and I in the late 70's.
My father sadly died this year and I inherited a few of your books - none of them Tobin ones, strangely - and they brought back so many happy memories of my late teens. I think that Russ Tobin was probably the man that dad would have liked to have been remembered as. A true gentleman with a love for beautiful women and always with a humerous tale to tell.
I have ordered several of the Tobin books now and really look forward to reading them again.
Best wishes and thanks,
John

I am so glad I fell over this website. Stan I have to thank you for all the pleasure and laughter you have given me over the years. I read your books firstly in the 70s and then later I found a couple in a secondhand book shop. I went on the scrounge around and was able to find all the Russ Tobin books and some of the Flyboys and I enjoyed them all over again and again. I was wondering what to do with my collection when I am no longer around and that made me wonder if there were other fans out there. Anyway I would like to tell you how much I love your work. Thanks ever so much for writing them.

Hi again Stan.
Well, I've got through Cuckoo, and The Sewing Machine Man, and then of course onto Debt Collector. I enjoyed it so much that I started reading it again, before going on to The Courier. I got to the chapter A Long Long.........Day, when the replacement I'd ordered arrived. (I've read them so many times, maybe 30, that many are falling apart, so I have started to get better copies)and have started reading that from the beginning.
I looked through the rest of my collection and realised that I need to replace quite a few more. As these cost so much (2nd hand) is there any way to push selective reprints, or would this cost too much? As you can see, I still greatly enjoy these books, and am still hoping we can see a new one (maybe based on the old Tobin) this year????????
Kind regards,
Tony
