1984
BOURGIE BOURGIE - DINKY HONEY
MCA Records

Paul Quinn quit the band midway through recording in Germany
in June 1984 and the LP remains unreleased

Tracklisting Unknown but it was mooted to contain both singles and
a third single also called "Dinky Honey" as well as other songs being played
live at the time. Finished mixes exist for:

-Here Comes That Feeling
(Similar arrangement to the Jazzateers/Peel Session version)
-I Gave You Love
(More laid back string-laden arrangement than the Peel Session version)
-Quelle Domage
-Something To Prove
(Straighter arrangement to the Jazzateers version)
-You Beat Me Again
-Show Me The Door
(Radically different version to the Jazzateers/The Switch version)
-Breaking Point
(this version appears on the Debut Magazine compilation)
-Apres-Ski
(Different to the single with a jazzy brass arrangement!)
-Careless
(Different version to the single but a very similar arrangement)

1985
PAUL QUINN & EDWYN COLLINS - PUNK ROCK HOTEL (SOUNDTRACK)
Swamplands

Alan Horne frequently mentioned releasing a soundtrack album for the film
(most agree that the film iteslef was almost certainly never completed)
It was also listed as "coming soon" in the back of the
"Heather's On Fire" Orange Juice retrospective in 1993
and the Postcard #1 Catlogh May 1993
It was not mentioned again in Catalogh #2 so presumably
Horne shelved the idea.
Tracklisting Unknown but all the tracks from the two Swamplands 12"
Records were credited as being from the soundtrack.
Whether anything else was recorded is anybody's guess
Quinn & Collins played two unreleased tracks in session on Radio 1
around this time. A cover of "Different Drum" and "It Had to Happen"

1985/86
PAUL QUINN - DEBUT SOLO ALBUM
Swamplands

Again this was frequently mentioned around the time of the Vince Clarke
single, and in David Cavanagh's book "My Magpie Eyes Are Hungry For The Prize"
it is mentioned several times as being constantly in progress and missing
deadlines until eventually London Records pulled the plug
on Horne's Swamplands label

Tracklisting Unknown but Quinn mentioned in an interview that he
was recording a cover of Karla Bonoff's "Personally" for inclusion
and contemplating a cover of Bobby Womack's "Just A Little Bit Salty"

1993
PAUL QUINN & THE INDEPENDENT GROUP - ROAD SONG, ROAD MOVIE, ROAD SONG
Postcard Records (CD Cat no: DUBH 935)

This was listed in the Postcard Discography in the back of the
"Heather's On Fire" Orange Juice retrospective in 1993
and the Postcard #1 Catlogh May 1993
Whether this was a working title for the album that became
"Will I Ever Be Inside Of You" is not known. Alan Horne has been
quoted as saying the album was scrapped.

Tracklisting Unknown

1994
PAUL QUINN & THE INDEPENDENT GROUP - CHEAP FLIGHTS
Postcard Records (CD Cat no: DUBH 946BBC)

This was listed in the Postcard Catalog #2
as having been recorded by the BBC and given a catalogh number
Whether a release was ever planned is not known

Tracklisting Unknown

1994
PAUL QUINN & THE INDEPENDENT GROUP - NOT FOR SALE
Postcard Records (CD Cat no: DUBH 947CD)

This was listed in the Postcard Catalog #2
as a promo CD available with French copies of
"Will I Ever Be Inside Of You"
However I've seen no evidence of this being true
If you have a copiy let me know!

Tracklisting:
-Pale Blue Eyes (live)
-Please Stay (live)

Live recordings from the "Cowboy Resonating" gig

1995
PAUL QUINN - PAUL QUINN
Postcard Records (CD Cat no: DUBH 95x)

This was listed as a forthcoming release in a Postcard
Catalogh in 1995. "Produced By Eddie 'Girl Like You' Collins"
This could either have been an abandoned follow-up to
"Will I Ever Be Inside Of You" or a planned release for the
unissued Swamplands album from 1985/86
Roddy Frame was once quoted as saying he sang some
backing vocals on a third Paul Quinn solo album that was
never released. This could have been it?
The Independent Group albums were frequently referred to
as a planned Triptych
